West Village Family Photos
Meet Annie, Mike, Drae and Jaz; a hip west village family. When Annie and I first spoke about her Day in the Life d Family session she told me “we work so hard during the week that we play hard all weekend.” No truer words could describe Annie and her family. While spending the with day Annie and Mike, I saw in action what great parents they are. They give their kids comfort when they need it, They encourage them throughout the day whether it is in a skateboard lesson, kicking the soccer ball or playing wii. They let them be kids but also pushed them to be the best at what they do. They lead by example. They lead while joining their kids. They are no sideline parents. They are in the action. They are awesome.
Living in tight corders where a closet converts to a bedroom, a crib doubles as a play area, the West Village is their back yard. They have parks and fields at their disposal. We headed from one park to another to play soccer, football, throw a ball or swing. They scooted (I ran) from Horatio Park, to Chelsea Piers, all the way to High Line. I walked over 12,000 steps, according my my fit bit on that Saturday.
Life is full comprises; raising a family in the west village of New York, especially so but this family does it so well. If this is playing hard, I think my family and I would love New York City living.
