I wanted to visit the International Center of Photography in NY and had no one to watch over my kids and my nephews. I bribed them all with $5, and if they behaved another $1 each hour, for each to spend at Economy Candy on the lower east side of New York. I didn't realize that the amount of money I was promising they could have bought the entire store. This photo was taken on the subway on our way to the ICP. I love how bored they look watiing for us to arrive. Not sure if it was them anticipating the photo exhibit or perhaps they were tired from staying up late the night before. Anyway, they didn't behave very well so I had to take money away. But I kept my promise and they each ended up with $3 at the candy shop. Which was more than enough. Keywords: documentary family photography (16), family photographer (22), new york family photographer (34), New York Subway.
